Description
G5® Vibracare® Hand-Held Postural Drainage
Totally self-contained, and weighing less than 1.5 kilograms, it provides optimal freedom of movement and portability, with a 3 metre power cord.
The G5® Vibracare® incorporates our unique Directional-Stroking® percussive action, which helps loosen congestive secretions and directs it into the bronchial tubes, where they can be coughed-up.
The red arrow on the head of the Vibracare® shows the user the direction that the loosened secretions are to be mobilised.
Due to the light percussive head, this apparatus can be either used in a clinic or in a domestic environment as it is allows the patient to effortlessly self-administer chest physical therapy.
With the Self Application Kit, hard to reach areas of the back are easy to access for effective airway clearance.
The G5® Self Application Kit consists of a custom foam pad and a self-application positioning belt.
The continuously variable percussive speed range of 20–50 CPS (cycles per second) insures that patients receive safe, optimal treatment.
Each G5® Vibracare® includes three interchangeable applicators (#250, #251, #253).
A Paediatric version is also available, for more-gentle percussion on small children or fragile geriatrics.
G5® Brand Percussion Modalities are designed to treat patients of all ages who have chronic obstructive pulmonary disease or irregular breathing or coughing patterns.
Our percussion modalities serve as adjuncts to therapists in performing pulmonary drainage procedures, which aid in lung ventilation and pulmonary hygiene by helping to remove accumulated secretions that cause increased airway obstruction, resistance and infection.
G5® Brand Percussion Modalities are the only percussors which provide Directional-Stroking® and Directional Percussion™ which assists to dislodge and liquefy viscous secretions, and are the only percussion products that offer directional control in the movement of secretions toward the upper airway.
Directional control is a primary consideration, since transient hypoxia and dyspnea can be caused by stagnated secretions in the major bronchi.
This video will illustrate how the G5® Percussors are used in Respiratory Therapy.
