Light Emitting Diode Therapy commonly called LED Therapy has proven to be effective treatment for a number of common skin disorders.



LED Light Therapy works by activating the skin cells by the application of pulses of light energy at specific frequencies.
The cells convert the light energy into fuel, which in turn stimulates the cells to produce Proteins and Lipids, essential for building and repairing the skin.

LED Light Therapy has been shown to increase the rate of healing for a number of skin conditions, reduce associated inflammation, increase Collagen and Elastin production and promote anti-aging.

How LED Light Therapy Works

  • RED light for rejuvenation stimulating collagen reducing fine lines.
    The Red light can penetrate tissues to a depth of 8-10mm.
    It greatly increases the blood flow to the area of the body exposed to the light and stimulates Fibroblasts within the Dermis to produce new Collagen, which is the protein responsible for reducing fine lines and wrinkles, whilst regenerating aged and sun damaged skin.

 

  • BLUE light for killing the acne bacteria thereby relieving breakouts.
    The Blue light is excellent for acne sufferers.
    It exhibits many anti-bacterial properties.
    The Blue light has a frequency that is at exactly the correct one to kill the acne bacteria “Propionbacterium”, which is the primary form of bacteria that gives rise to acne outbreak.
    It prevents and treats mild to moderate acne.
    Blue light also helps to purify the skin, stabilise oil glands, and sooth inflammation.

 

Tips
Most people see results within 4-6 weeks, but many have reported positive results in 1-3 weeks.
It is not uncommon to see results after the 1st treatment.
Results have been known to last up to 12 months.
